The Samoa Tourism Authority says the number of cruise ships to visit Samoa is expected to increase this year.
The first cruise ship, The Spirit of Oceanus, docked at Salelologa on Savai'i yesterday morning., with 41 passengers from around the Northern Hemisphere aboard.
Cruise Ships have become a significant feature on the tourism industry's calendar.
The Samoa Observer says the next cruise ship is expected to arrive at the end of January.
