A police investigation regarding a soldier armed with a pistol in Fiji has been dropped.
Fijivillage News reported the soldier was arrested in Suva on Friday.
Major Neumi Leweni, a military spokesperson, says the soldier was on-duty at the time of the arrest.
Fiji police now say it's up to the military to decide if he was entitled to carry a gun in public.
