Women footballers from the region have for the first time been included in the Oceania Football Confederation Awards.
The recognition follows on from the successful under 17 World Cup tournament held in New Zealand late last year.
The nominations come from American Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Tonga with two each from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, while New Zealand pick up five nominations.
And seven players from the Pacific region are among the ten nominees for the men's Oceania football player of the year.
Roy Krishna who plays for New Zealand's Waitakere United is the only player from Fiji which includes, Papua New Guinea, and two each to New Caledonia and Tahiti, which includes Marama Vaihrua who won the 2005 award.
Three New Zealand players are also among the nominees which include All Whites captain Ryan Nelson, along with strikers Chris Killen and Shane Smeltz are in line for the award.
