The Fiji military has taken in one of its own after he was spotted allegedly showing off a pistol in a Suva nightclub.
Fiji Live says the man had reportedly been on duty at Government House on Friday night and had gone into the city to make a purchase.
While in town he met up with friends and reportedly joined them in a drinking party.
The police confirm receiving a call later that night from a concerned nightclub patron who saw the pistol in the man's possession.
The Police spokesman, Atunaisa Sokomuri, said the case is now being handled by the military.
