Palau's President-elect has named veteran Senator Joshua Koshiba is to be the chief negotiator for talks with the United States over renewal of its Compact of Free Association.
According to Pacific Magazine, Johnson Toribiong says Mr Koshiba's appointment has been confirmed.
He replaces Billy Kuartei.
His appointment is only the second Cabinet position announced by Mr Toribiong.
