Candidates in American Samoa's governors' race have delivered their final pitches to voters on local television.

Around 17 thousand registered voters are due to go to the polls on November 4th, and the teams running for governor and lieutenant governor spoke last night on KVZK TV.

The incumbent, Togiola Tulafono, emphasized his achievements and asked for another four years,

But the challengers asked voters to give them an opportunity to fix what they think is wrong and provide a better standard of living.

Afoa Moega Lutu says the time for indecision is over.

"The time for certainty and for courage is here now. Let us take a new direction with promise for a better future for all of us. Let us build a bridge to connect the hopes of our forefathers to the dreams of our children."
