The grandmother of one of the most famous Samoans, Dwayne Johnson, who is better known as The Rock, has died.
Lia Maivia, the wife of the greatest Samoan wrestler of his time, Peter Maivia died earlier this week in Florida.
Mrs Maivia was regarded as a great influence on the Rock and several articles written about him talk about his younger days in the care of his grandparents, which have helped shape his life.
Mrs Maivia is from the Taouma family of the village of Faleasiu in Samoa .
