A Supreme Court ruling in Samoa has denied an application by the village council of Satapuala to lift an interim injunction order prohibiting the village from entering government land they forcibly occupied last year.
The disputed land involves some seventeen hundred acres adjacent to customary lands of the village located opposite Faleolo International Airport.
Several village matais including chiefs and orators are defendants in the case
The village council through their lawyer also argued the title of the plaintiff, the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation, is defective as it was acquired without consideration and unconstitutional.
