The general Manager of the Vanuatu Broadcasting and television Corporation says he hopes an internal review of complaints against a senior journalist will clear him of wrongdoing.
The journalist, Antoine Malsungae, has been has been suspended by the country's national broadcaster over an allegation of bias in his reporting of the September election results and formation of a new government
The Clerk of Parliament lodged the complaint against Mr Malsungae, who is also the President of the Media Association of Vanuatu and a Pacific Islands News Association board member, saying his reporting was in favour of the losing Prime Ministerial candidate Maxime Carlot Korman.
The VBTC General manager, Fred Vurobaravu, says it is yet to be proven that the journalist has breached reporting guidelines.
