Solomon Islands Leader of the opposition Group, Manasseh Sogavare, has expressed grave concern that the Prime Minister, Derek Sikua adjourned Parliament for the second time in a row.
The SIBC reports that in a statement Mr Sogavare says it was pathetic and bad show for the Government when Dr Sikua had to adjourn Parliament again this morning until Wednesday due to typing errors in two government bills for tabling in the current session.
He says Parliament resumed this morning after being adjourned last Thursday and the Opposition Group was expecting Parliament to go into serious business this week.
Mr Sogavare says it is the responsibility of Ministers to ensure bills under their respective portfolios are ready in time for presentation in Parliament.
He says it's also costly for the Government to keep ordinary MPs in Honiara for Parliament meetings and thus any ruling government must make good use of the time the House is in session.
