New Zealand's Minister of Pacific Islands Affairs says a visit by four Cook Islands MPs is an opportunity to acknowledge the special relationship that New Zealand has with the Cook Islands.
The MPs are Cassey Tereapii Eggelton, Pastor John David Tangi, William "Smiley" Heather, and Albert Nicholas.
Luamanuvao Winnie Laban says the four MPs are on a parliamentary study tour to gain an understanding of how the New Zealand Parliament, and will take this knowledge back to the Cook Islands.
She says they will meet with a range of people, including the Speaker and Clerk of the House of Representatives, the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Select Committee, and both government and opposition MPs.
