In the CNMI, the capital, Saipan experienced extensive power outages yesterday after two engines at a Power Plant experienced mechanical problems.
That meant the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation Or CUC could not generate enough power for the entire island grid.
As a result, CUC extended the power rotation from 4pm to 12am.
The CUC's executive director, Antonio Muna, told the media its using four engines to power up Saipan.
