A Niue careers and business and expo to be held in New Zealand this year could help attract young Niueans back to Niue.

A group of volunteers in New Zealand, called the Niue Moving Forward Together group, has set up a number of initiatives, including the expo, to help boost the economy, culture and arts in Niue.

The Niue Trade Office says one of the main constraints Niue faces in terms of trade development is the lack of man power.

The project's team leader, Mary Aue says the expo, in October this year, is an opportunity to attract Niueans back to their home-land.

"I'm hoping that there will be Niueans from Niue - the Niue government will be one of the exhibitions there, so that they can say to the New Zealand Niue community that these are the jobs that are available in Niue. There's an opportunity there if you wanna move your family or move yourself if you're single to work on Niue. And also an opportunity to travel because you know, there is alot of travelling up there. 23 secs."
