The Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority Chief Executive Officer Joe Ligo has accepted the position of Director General of Justice in the Ministry of Justice and Social Welfare.
Vanuatu's Daily Post newspaper reports that in accepting the post, he resigned from his post as CEO of VIPA.
Mr Ligo has been credited with helping create favourable conditions for the increasing number of investors taking up interests in Vanuatu over the last few years.
The Ministry of Trade has also thanked Mr Ligo for forging closer links between the Ministry and VIPA.
