American Samoa's governor, Togiola Tulafono, says a report last
week from the government Treasurer shows that revenue collections are doing well and many outstanding government debts have been paid off.
Togiola said some of these debts go back to 2003 or 2004.
He says this is good news for some local businesses who have been waiting for payments.
Togiola said long delays in paying vendors has been one of the
administration's major concerns.
