The high court in Fiji has adjourned the case brought over the interim regime's deportation of the publisher of the Fiji Times to Australia until tomorrow.
Lawyers acting on behalf of Evan Hannah tried to stop the expulsion through court action after he was arrested on Thursday but the interim government proceeded with his removal.
The interim immigration minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, has said the court papers didn't reach the director of immigration, Viliame Naupoto, which he says cleared the way to put Mr Hannah on a plane bound for South Korea.
Our correspondent, Matelita Ragogo, says at today's scheduled hearing, the solicitor-general, Christopher Pryde, has been granted another day to prepare his case.
"He is required by court now to produce the director of immigration Naupoto and the permanent secretary Tadulala. It was Tadulala who signed the order of deportation for Evan Hannah."
The interim government says Mr Hannah was threat to national security.
