The Fiji high court has given life sentences to two police officers for murdering Tevita Malasebe.
The police had taken the 30-year old man from his home in June 2007 and his mother found him dead at a hospital in Suva the following morning after he suffered internal injuries.
Tevita Malasebe had been seized by policemen in civilian clothes on suspicion of criminal activity.
Seven men were charged with his murder, and another one was charged with being an accessory to murder.
Five policemen were acquitted because there was insufficent evidence against them.
