Two Papua New Guineans are among a short-list of three candidates for selection as the founding Director-General of the new Melanesian Spearhead Group Secretariat.
PNG's National Broadcasting Corporation reports that the other candidate is from Fiji.
An announcement of the winning candidate will be made in May, ahead of the opening of the new MSG Secretariat head office in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The identity of the two Papua New Guineans and the Fijian are still not known.
