The Prime Minister's Office in Fiji is yet to say if the interim Prime Minister will attend a debate organised by the Fiji Media Council on the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
The paper, Fiji Times, says the debate is on issues relating to the Council and organised by the Fiji Media Council and will be held on Thursday.
The permanent secretary in the PM's office, Parmesh Chand, said he would need to find out from Commodore Frank Bainimarama of his engagement on the day.
Last week, Commodore Bainimarama stated the media was being relied upon to promote the proposed People's Charter for Building a Better or PCCPP.
But it said it was a task made difficult when journalists failed to do their homework resulting in nave and overly negative questions.
Commodore Bainimarama said what was frustrating was that many journalists in the mainstream media have not read any of the materials released to explain the purposes of the People's Charter.
