New South Wales Waratahs lends Fiji rugby union a helping hand

The Fiji under-20 rugby squad has had some top class coaching from two New South Wales Waratahs coaches.

Waratahs Academy defense and scrum coach Joe Barakat and strength and conditioning coach Charlie Higgins took the squad through rugby training tips this morning before tonight's trials in Suva.

Fiji Rugby's high performance unit manager - Peter Murphy says the exchange program is an important part of Fiji's development plans.

He added that Fiji wants their young players to learn the set-pieces at an early age so they fit in easily when they reach the national level.

Rayne Simpson will name his final 30-member team for the Junior World Cup in Wales.
