Yesterday, the High Court denied an application by State lawyers seeking an adjournment in the case.

The application was allow to their lead counsel Jared McCoy's return from Hong Kong, where he is currently attending to another case.

Justice Anthony Gates said the court cannot afford to delay proceedings.

Justice Gates said the court took into consideration the application made by the Solicitor General but denied it because of the delay in proceedings.
