Petrol prices in American Samoa is expected to increase this week by about 7-US cents per gallon.
The Office of Petroleum's Sione Kava says that the average price of petrol later this week will be around 3-US dollars-70 per gallon.
He says all other petroleum products sold in the Territory will also rise.
Sione Kava says the price rise is due to the recent hikes in crude oil prices worldwide and the jump in transportation costs due to activity in the Middle East.
