Two Solomon Islands MPs acquitted of intimidation and inciting riots in the capital Honiara have been made ministers in the Sogavare Government.
Charles Dausabea and Nelson Ne'e were accused of intimidation and inciting the Honiara riots in April, 2006.
But in October a High Court judge dismissed the charges against them.
Mr Dausabea has now become the Public Service Minister and Mr Ne'e the Home Affairs minister.
The latest appointments come as Mr Sogavare claims to have the numbers in parliament to stay in office after nine ministers and three backbench MPs walked from his government early last month.
It was also announced today that the new deputy prime minister would be Foreign Minister Patteson Oti, replacing defector to the opposition Toswell Kaua.
