Fiji's ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, says he can see nothing improving in the next twelve months.
It is a year since the military ousted his government and took control.
Mr Qarase says all the problems that have affected the country since then are likely to continue:
"So the economy is well down, the political landscape is uncertain, in our society there are more people falling under the poverty line, there are more people in squatter settlements we don't have an elected government, there is a lot of unemployment. I expect all these things to continue as long as we have this interim regime and so long as we don't have an elected government."
