The President of the Fiji Football Association, Dr Sahu Khan, says he's disgusted that the football team had to delay its departure from Nadi this morning becuase of a row over visas.
He is putting the blame squarely on the New Zealand government.
The Fiji team are heading to New Zealand for their Oceania world cup qualifying match on Saturday, but the delay in issuing their visas means they can't leave until Thursday, allowing one day's preparation.
The world cup qualifier involves teams from Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Vanuatu in a home and away tournament.
Vanuatu were scheduled to host the All Whites in Port Vila this week, but their grounds were not up to international standard, and Fiji who were supposed to host New Zealand in November, agreed to play here this week.
Dr Khan says it's not the first time the New Zealand government has used dirty tactics.
"They had tried their level best in January February this year to get FIFA to suspend Fiji Football. New Zealand government is making a lot of noise against our interim government on the political field. What about the playing field? Why should the New Zealand government become an obstacle for the development of football? Llet's have a fair play, the slogan of FIFA is Fair Play and what is good for the game."
