Brian Lima goes for record world cup

8:19 am on 13 July 2007

Veteran Samoa rugby player Brian Lima is heading for a record fifth rugby World Cup after being included in the country's 30-strong squad.

Popularly known as "the Chiropractor" because of his bone-jarring tackles, Lima has been a feature of the Samoan side, at wing or centre, for 17 years and 63 Tests.

Lima already holds other records, such as being the youngest player at the 1991 World Cup and the only player to have scored tries in four World Cups.

Samoa will play warm-up games against English clubs Harlequins, Northampton and Sale before their World Cup opener against South Africa on September 9.
