A Guam soldier has been killed in Iraq, the first casualty from Guam this year.
Staff Sergeant Joseph Gamboa's family told the Pacific Daily News it was notified of his death yesterday.
Mr Gamboa's wife and five children live in Germany.
They were reportedly preparing to return to the island to make arrangement's for Gamboa's funeral services.
The military has not released any details of how Joseph Gamboa died.
He is the 25th soldier or U.S. Marine from the Pacific region to die in Iraq and the first to be killed this year.
