American Samoa to replace Canada at Fiji Sevens

11:02 am on 3 January 2007

American Samoa is the latest international team to confirm participation in the Fiji International Sevens that will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka on January 19-20.

American Samoa takes the place of Canada, which had to withdraw following a travel advisory from Canadas Foreign Affairs Department stating that non-essential travel to Fiji be avoided.

American Samoa will join the Cook Islands, Fiji, Japan, Niue, New Caledonia, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga and Vanuatu for the Fiji Sevens competition.
