An athletic's director has called on the Department of Education in American Samoa to address the absence of medical insurance coverage for students injured in high school activities.
Tafuna High School football coach Jason Magalei issued the call following the injury of one of his players Samuelu Folau.
The 16 year old is currently in the Intensive Care unit of LBJ Hospital after he dislocated his spinal chord during high school football games Saturday.
