Samoa's Opposition Leader, Le Mamea Ropati, has supported a call from attorney general, Brenda Heather Latu, for the establishment of a fraud unit.

In a statement, Le Mamea says the government has made no effort to tackle graft and corruption which he calls one of the country's growth industries.

He says the Opposition has seen little action being taken to look into the many instances of irregularities that occurred within the Public Service and Public Trading Bodies during the time of the last HRPP government.
