Samoa's Prime Minister says members of the main opposition party the Samoa Democratic United Party only have themselves to blame for losing the general election.
Tuilaepa Sailele told the Samoa Observer that the SDUP's election strategy was extremely poor and the party should seriously reconsider for future elections.
SDUP won only 10 of 49 seats in Parliament.
The ruling Human Rights Protection Party secured 30 seats in the March 31st elections and five successful candidates who ran as Independents have joined the party since.
Tuilaepa says SDUP's tactics of stirring anger and all sorts of emotions among people did not work.
He adviced that the party review its strategies in the recent election campaign and see what they did wrong.
