Political parties in Fiji are calling on the government to tell the nation what it knows about the banned controversial Korean evangelist, the Reverend Dr Sun Myung Moon.
The government denied Dr Moon entry last week, saying his "doctrines were considered misleading, repugnant and divisive and would affect the peace, good order and the public morality of Fiji."
The general secretary of the Fijian Political Party, Ema Druavesi, has told the Fiji Sun that the Fijian people deserve to hear the truth about Dr Moon.
Mrs Druavesi says with reports of young Fijians being lured overseas with promises of money and martial arts training in New Zealand, the government should be transparent.
The leader of the National Alliance Party, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, has appealed to people to stay clear of "characters who charm the masses."
The director of the ruling SDL party, Jale Baba, says people should be more wary when they are offered gifts and trips.
