The Pacific Forum Eminent Persons Group has met different public groups on Malaita, as part of its tour of Solomon Islands to review the regional assistance mission.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports the Premier of Malaita, Ruben Moli, has told the group of his support for the mission.
But Mr Moli said there's still no enabling environment for economic activities to flourish.
The Church of Melanesia office in Auki told the group, led by Fiji's Foreign Minister, Kaliopate Tavola, that RAMSI should resume helping to stem petty crime.
Chiefs from north Malaita called on RAMSI to investigate the architects of the ethnic tension and bring them to justice.
