China and Vanuatu have signed an agreement authorising Vanuatu as an official destination for Chinese tourists.
Under the agreement, tourism offices will be set up in both countries to promote the industry and encourage Chinese tourists to visit Vanuatu.
Local travel agents have welcomed the agreement.
