American Samoa hotel shareholders to review lawsuit

9:50 am on 17 September 2004

The Chairman of the Rainmaker Hotel minority shareholders Ad Hoc Committee, Senator Te'o Fuavai, has called a meeting of the shareholders to review its lawsuit against the government.

Senator Te'o invites all minority shareholders to tomorrow's meeting to discuss and finalize the lawsuit, that will be filed against the government, the governor and the hotel's board of directors for carrying out plans to renovate the hotel by a local businessman without the shareholders approval.

The Ad Hoc committee also believes that the government has run the hotel into the ground with its deteriorating condition and financial woes.
