Creditors file claims against American Samoa-based, Samoa Air

More than eight hundred thousand US dollars in claims have already been filed against the American Samoa-based Samoa Air.

The Pago Pago-based firm filed for bankruptcy protection in December.

The US Bankruptcy Court in the Central District of California states that 12 individuals and companies have already filed monetary claims.

The largest claim so far is over six hundred thousand from the Internal Revenue Service the next largest claims is for just over seventy three thousand dollars from ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank.

The governments in both American Samoa and Samoa have yet to file their claims.

A total of 106 individuals and companies are listed as the airline's creditors.
