Solomons Police continue exhumations on Weather Coast

Solomon Islands Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ben McDevitt, has confirmed that more exhumations are being carried out on the Weather Coast as part of the investigation into the disappearance of a number of members of the Melanesian Brothers.

The Solomon Island Broadcasting Corporation say the rebel leader, Harold Keke, who is now in custody said he killed a number of the Brothers who had come to negotiate with him.

Mr McDevitt said he appreciated that police had been able to got on with their work without interference.

He said it would take up to three weeks for final reports on the exhumations to be compiled
