Samoa's Head of State to lead delegation to American Samoa's Flag Day ceremony

Samoa's Head of State, Malietoa Tanumafili II is to lead the country's delegation to this year's Flag Day celebration in American Samoa on July the 3rd.

Malietoa will go with an entourage of six officials including a cabinet minister and the chief executive of the prime minister's office.

The villages of Pu'apu'a and Faleu have also been confirmed as the two villages to represent Samoa in the traditional song and dance category during commemorations.

The Flag Day ceremony is usually held on April the17th but was postponed because of the death of governor Tauese Sunia.

This year's festivities will mark 103 years since American Samoa became a US territory.
