The US embassy in Samoa will begin accepting applications for the US visa lottery in two weeks.
The so-called diversity programme gives permits under strict eligilibilty requirements, with a computer generating the list of those being accepted.
Non-US citizens or nationals living in American Samao cannot apply in Pago Pago but must travel to Apia to submit their applications.
