A decision on whether 26 police in Vanuatu will stand trial for mutiny and related charges is expected this afternoon.
The officers were charged early this month after they had earlier arrested 15 prominent public officials on seditious conspiracy charges.
Those charges were thrown out with the judge ruling the police actions had been irregular.
The 26 appeared in court in Port Vila yesterday for a preliminary hearing to assess whether they had a case to answer.
