The Fiji Employers Federation has accused trade unions of trying to wreck the country's economy.
The Federation's president Don Aidney, says judging from daily media reports, the unions seem intent on following a course of destruction for the nation.
Mr Aidney says that on the pretext of trying to better the working conditions and living standards of members, the unions seems bent on destroying the economy and the mechanisms that provide employment.
He says unless the unions show a dramatic about turn in their attitudes, investment opportunities which generate employment will evaporate.
The Employers Federation president says if the trade union movement fails to act in the best interests of the nation, the minister for labour should intervene.
