Composer Salina Fisher has recently begun teaching instrumentation and orchestration at New Zealand School of Music, Wellington. Since graduating with a Master of Music in Composition from Manhattan School of Music, New York (where she was mentored by acclaimed composer Susan Botti) Salina has also been busy creating new music.

She is particularly interested in the musical traditions of New Zealand and Japan. Salina's new work 'Kintsugi', written for NZTrio, has just received its premiere. It was inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold dust and lacquer.
