Wellington Brass has had a clean sweep winning all the trophies at the Australian Brass band championships, including the Marching prize bringing home the Fireman's Helmet National Trophy.  And a violist has won a landmark case against the Royal Opera House in London after suffering hearing loss while rehearsing Wagner’s Die Walkure in 2012.

1pm School of Dance Director Garry Trinder answers the critics

Garry Trinder recently chalked up twenty years as the Director of the New Zealand School of Dance. But the anniversary comes after a difficult period, with an expansion plan for the School cancelled and debate in the media after none of its 2017 graduates were employed by the Royal New Zealand Ballet. He discusses working through adversity and how the School achieved a staggering 83% employment rate for last year's graduates.
