Jessie Leov is one of the organisers of the 2025 CANZ Composer Workshop, this year held in Auckland from 2-5 September.
She talks with David Morriss about what the workshop involves, and her own experience taking part in previous workshops.
The workshop is an opportunity for CANZ (Composers' Association of New Zealand) members to have a piece performed, then discussed with experienced composers.
Attendees can submit works across a range of musical artforms, including sonic arts, improvisation, installations, and electroacoustic/electronic music, including works for live performer/s, amplification, fixed media, and live processing.
