This week's "Sonic" Moment of Calm features one of those things which up close is often a little overwhelming, but if you're far enough away, quite soothing.
RNZ Concert's Bryan Crump certainly thinks so; he was in a park in Sydney recording birdsong when a freight train gatecrashed the scene.
Crump thought it was just far enough away to create the right atmosphere.
