“If it was up to me, we’d play Beethoven every day for the rest of my life.”

APO Music Director Giordano Bellincampi is looking forward to completing the Beethoven symphony cycle with the orchestra, begun in 2020 as part of the composer’s 250th birthday celebrations.

The final concert in the series, Symphony No 8 and Symphony No 9, has been delayed until this year due to Covid.

“We’ve been through a lot since it was supposed to happen in 2020, and we are so thrilled to [finally perform] the two last symphonies of Beethoven.”
