One of the first composers to graduate from the Beijing Conservatory upon its reopening after the Cultural Revolution and the winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for his opera Madame White Snake, Zhou Long creates thoughtful, spiritually-infused music that has resonated with audiences across the globe.

For the first time this anthology collects together experimental and electronic music by artists from within the Chinese area of influence - China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. It’s a musical journey through what’s currently happening in the underground music scene in these countries as well as a look at the recent past and some its key pioneers.
