Swedish astronomer and scientist Anders Celsius was born on 27 November 1701 in Uppsala. He proposed a scale for measuring temperature where 0° represented the boiling point of water and 100° the freezing point. Carl Linnaeus reversed the scale not long after Celsius's death, and it's in the current numerical order (ascending) that I've programmed these pieces.
