LIVE VIDEO: Royal New Zealand Ballet - A Midsummer Night's Dream

Tonight you can either listen to RNZ Concert's regular programme on the radio, or join us online for this video presentation of the Royal New Zealand Ballet performing  'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Friday 10 April at 7.30pm (and repeating on Sunday 12 April at 10.30am)

 

Lovers, fairies, mischief and moonlight conspire in Shakespeare’s classic tale, vividly retold with sparkling steps and Mendelssohn’s famous score. Be transported to a fantastical world of dazzling dance, music and enchantment.

Created for the RNZB by choreographer Liam Scarlett, with distinguished New Zealand designer Tracy Grant Lord creating the glorious vision of Shakespeare’s iconic characters and enchanted wood. Mendelssohn's delightful music is played by the NZSO conducted by Nigel Gaynor.
