French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet joins the Auckland Philharmonia for a performance of Beethoven's Emperor Concerto in this opening concert from the orchestra's 2018 Premier Series.
They open with a new work by Eve de Castro-Robinson, specially commissioned for this concert.
The concert ends with Tchaikovsky's tempestuous Fifth Symphony.
The conductor is the orchestra's Music Director, Giordano Bellincampi.
